Frequently asked questions

How many cold email domains and inboxes do I need?+

Divide your daily send volume by the safe limit per inbox to get inboxes, then divide inboxes by the number you run per domain to get domains. This calculator does both and rounds up.

What is a safe number of emails per inbox per day?+

Many teams stay at around 30 a day per inbox or lower, but the right number depends on your domain age, warm-up and sending provider. The default is a placeholder, so use a limit you trust.

Why use several domains instead of one?+

Spreading volume across more inboxes and domains keeps each one below sensible sending limits and protects your main company domain from reputation damage.

Should I send cold email from my main domain?+

Most teams use separate sending domains and keep their main domain for normal company email, so a deliverability problem does not affect everyday messages.

Does this include warm-up time?+

No. New inboxes usually need a warm-up period before full volume, so plan for a ramp-up and expect your first weeks to run below the numbers shown.

What does this calculator leave out?+

It does not model deliverability, list quality, bounce rates or spam complaints. Treat it as a planning estimate, and check your own provider's current sending guidance.
